Permanent Named Memorial Funds
When memorial contributions made in an individual's name reach $500, two types of Named Memorial Funds can be established. The first pays tribute to the deceased individual. The second, known as a Named Family Memorial Fund, is created when two or more family members pass, and surviving family agree that contributions made in each individual's name, may be combined. All memorial gifts are tax deductible, and upon receipt, are added to our permanent endowment. Only the annual income generated by the endowment fund is used for our programs. The principal is preserved and invested wisely for growth.
When a Permanent Memorial Fund is created, a framed certificate is sent to the surviving spouse or other designated family member. Additionally, the honor role of Permanent Fund names is located at the Foundation Office in Boise. Permanent funds are also cited in the Maverick and Bridge Builder publications.

Honor and Memorial Gifts Made Through a Will/Estate Plan
You may also make honor and memorial gifts through your long-range estate and financial plans. Consider the following options:
a provision in your will, living trust, and/or estate plan providing a gift to the Idaho Youth Ranch in someone's honor or memory;
arrangements to have a portion of your IRA, pension plan, 401K or 403b account go to the IYR as a beneficiary, in someone's honor or memory (because we are an IRS recognized 501C-3 public charity, the portion you gift avoids the tax on accumulated gains);
a gift of a life insurance policy that has fulfilled its original purpose to honor the person for whom it was originally purchased.
we encourage you to consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.
By establishing an annuity, or naming the Idaho Youth Ranch in your will/estate plans, and informing us of such, you become a member of the Bridge Builder Legacy Society.
